Isaac Viñales: radius operation a success

Spaniard was ruled out of the British GP after crashing in FP1 at Turn 12, leaving him with a fractured right radius

Isaac Viñales (Forward Racing Team) has undergone successful surgery on an intra-articular fracture displaced from the radius at his right elbow, suffered in an FP1 crash at the GoPro British Grand Prix.

Surgeons at the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire “practiced open reduction and internal fixation with cannulated screws,” with Viñales beginning his recovery and rehabilitation program this week.
