Bastianini blasts to the top in FP1

Three riders within 0.012 seconds as action opens for 2018

After a long winter break, bikes are back on track and it was Moto3™ who lit up the timesheets first – with Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing) blasting to the top on his final lap to take over by just 0.009. The Italian was only thousandths clear of earlier leader Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) in P2, and fellow title contender Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) was in close company, too – making it just 0.012 covering the top three.

There were a number of incidents including an early crash Ayumu Sasaki (Petronas Sprinta Racing) and another for Darryn Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo), both ok.

There's more in FP2, which begins at 17:10 local time (GMT +3) - and check out the full results from Moto3™ FP1 here!
