Marquez: “We’re going to Austria feeling positive”

Championship leader grew his advantage at Brno – now it’s another challenging track for the number 93

After his flag-to-flag tactics in the Czech GP and the 25 point haul for Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team), the advantage is now 14 points at the top of the table – and that in itself would be enough for the rider from Cervera to be feeling pretty positive en route to Round 11. As it stands, a positive Brno test working to get ready for the Red Bull Ring – and knowing Brno was usually a more difficult venue – mean the five-time World Champion is ready for the challenge and focused on getting some good points at the very least.

It's all...on target...so far in 2017

Marc Marquez: “The Red Bull Ring is a circuit where we struggled quite a bit last year but hopefully this year it will be different. Brno also used to be a challenging track for us but in the end we got a fantastic result, so we’re going to Austria feeling positive. In the post-race test we were able to look into several aspects of our bike’s setup, also in view of the next race, such as getting better acceleration and reducing the wheelie-ing. Of course we also need good stability on the brakes so we’ll see; as always, it will be a matter of finding a good compromise. We’ll do our best to get a good result and to gain important points for the Championship.”
