The 2016 Catalan GP is the 25th successive year that the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has hosted a grand prix since it was introduced onto the World Championship calendar in 1992.

The 4.7km Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is known for being fast and challenging, with eight right hand corners and five left plus a start/finish straight that is 1047m long. Setup can play a crucial role in a rider’s success at the track, so let's find out from the teams themselves on how they plan on being quick in Barcelona.

When it comes to setup one of the biggest unsung heroes in a MotoGP™ team is the Parts Manager, who has to arrange, organise, and look after the 2,000 individual parts that go into to making a modern premier class machine. The Catalan GP has proved to be almost prophetic in the past, with 15 of the last 19 winners in Barcelona going on to be crowned MotoGP™ World Champion at the end of the season. Each of the three main title contenders in 2016 have scored vital psychological victories over their rivals at the track in the past, here is a look at the best of them.

Talking of psychological blows, Marc Marquez will be looking to bounce back from losing the Italian GP by just 0.019s after being out dragged to the line by his title rival Jorge Lorenzo. Marquez trails Lorenzo by 10 points in the standings and will be looking to record his third win of the season in front of his home fans.

Another Honda man who will be looking to make an impression at the Catalan GP is Dani Pedrosa who originally comes from Sabadell, just 15 km from the circuit. He recently announced he would be staying with the Repsol Honda Team until the end of 2018, so ahead of his home race motogp.com caught up with the Spanish star to discuss his season so far and his future ambitions.
